well, after my pair of G.rosea's seemed to have settled in, the male seemed eager to go so, opened the lid, he slowly climbed over to the opposite corner to her, walked up a bit to her, she turned round to face him, both done a wee bit dancing, looked promising, she started to raise up and then as he moved in closer for some reason he changed his mind and decided to bolt sideways into her hide.. I can only assume that when she felt this fast movement that she thought that he was dinner (although she had been well fed and didnt appear to be hungry) and he only got as far as an inch or two before she was on top of him with no way of seperating them. Sadly this morning I was left picking up the discarded bits 
Its very disheartening, but I guess these things happen in the wild and in captivity all the time. Its certainly not put me off and I think I will try again in the future. Just sad to see him suffering like that its not something that I would want to see again ...
