    smithi gets a feed yet the cricket lives!

    Just a little tale from something I witnessed earlier.

    Today I saw an ambush. Normal scenario. Cricket wonders over to tarantula's back yard and BAM!!! Nothing new there so I went off to make a coffee. Came back and looked in and saw the cricket scampering about at Gloria's rear. But I saw the attack and bite?
    Then I noticed in Gloria's mouth, the two hind legs off the cricket. So Gloria gets to have a snack and the cricket gets to wonder around for a while longer. Until it dies or Gloria wants seconds.

    haha! yeah that's sort of similar to when i've fed my Stegadyphus (Indian social spiders), but the cricket shed its leg...the leg fell into the web, the next thing i know two or three Stegs are sucking away on it happily!

                Keep practicing Faye, PLEASE! On the subject of cricketsn they're invertibrates so next moult the back legs should grow back. Something tells me that your cricket might not last that long!
