  • P.Ornata

i placed a male P.ornata in with my female. I heard the drumming watched a bit of a mating ritual, then i heard nothing or seen them both until last night. The female has abandoned her cork tube and built a tunnel going under a large piece of bog wood, i was pleased to see her but a worried about the male. I checked on her later on, shes moved up the bog wood slightly with the male cuddled up to her, i then see them both go down into the tunnel. Is this normal for both of them to go in to the tunnel, and since digging a tunnel does this mean i should expect an egg sack.

i wouldnt worry kev. i have found that the nastier species are more tolerant of a male. i had a p.regalis and once introduced, the male lived happily with the female until he died of old age, enjoying a very active sex life lol.

Well at least he died happily Matthew, and not at the mercy of a fang wielding Regalis female LOL.
