You have no idea how excited I am that yesterday was new spider day! I got a new Aphonopelma sp. New River (New River rustrump) from Reptist. He sold me a guaranteed female and said she'd be 2"+, well as you can see below she's nearly a full 4". And he threw in a freebie Aphonopelma sp. paysoni (Payson blond), which is about 1/2".
Here is my Aphonopelma sp. New River, her name is Rio (and yes, she does dance on the sand
). She is just as sweet as can be, and seriously one of the most beautiful spiders I have ever seen (no wonder this species won best in show at the BTS Exhibition this year). I'm so happy that I choose this species to get.
