  • EWLs/slings found alive

ive posted this on arachnophiles so sorry if you've seen it.

As some of you may know i had a rosie sac but she ate it

HOWEVER i have just done some cleaning and feeding with her
and found some of the eggs with legs in the substrate ALIVE.
at least their legs are moving anyway....
i am still looking in the tank for more as i've only come across
    afew at the mo
what will i do with them now, my god i cant believe they are
    still alive and well.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

i've been through every single bit of substrate in the mothers
tank and found 14 EWL, they seem to be going
from that stage to slings. alot of them are going through
the moult at this very minute.

i have a small tub up with subby and its in the mothers tank.

i also found about 10 eggs too, they look healthy but as this is my first
sac i dont know if they are alive or not. they could be duds as they would
have developed along with the rest of the EWL's right???????
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

the number of ones alive has gone up to 19.
some of the ones i thought were dead are
    making small leg movements. woohooo.

*edit* forgot to mention, stick the eggs in the tub and wait, they may hatch still

i would say keep the humidity there and make sure the container they are in stays in the spot where the mother's tank is so they are kept at the same temp as before. good luck dee

Yet another reason for keeping tarantulas, they never cease to amaze me. Alot of people say I'm mad for keeping them .......... I say they are the mad ones for not keeping them. Nice one on the EWL's m8, fingers crossed for you.
