        G'day
        This particular specimen is probably from the group Isopeda or Holconia and are not at all dangerous. They are very efficient insect eradicators around the home over here in Oz and do make good pets (not as good as tarantulas though ) and will get to a decent size of around 160mm legspans.

          I've just read the article, and unlike some of the others we have seen of late, this one doesn't seem to gets its thrill from frightening people. Its not trying to kick up a storm and seems to report the facts.
          Nice bit of journalism for once.

            GUTTED!!!! I live in Northern Ireland pity it didn't make its way to my house, I would have booked it in for an all inclusive stay at Hotel Arachnid LOL.

              I bought one from Martin Goss yesterday and it never even asked to drive home............
