Hang on a second - let me just this straight.

You want everone to help you "finish" your project of a Poecilotheria poster. Looking at your list, you've named every known species (other than P. uniformis) so, in reality what you are asking for is EVERYONE ELSE to send you ventral pictures (only GOOD ones mind) of all of the known species of Poecilotheria so that YOU can put them together in a poster. I am not quite sure how this constitutes "making my own one...."!

You have not mentioned what the poster is to be used for even!

Have you taken ANY photos yourself at all??

Am I the only one who thinks this is asking an awful lot of your fellow enthusiasts???

And, as Richard has already pointed out, there is a perfectly good Poecilotheria poster available already.

IMHO you should be taking the majority of these photos yourself and maybe ask for help in filling one or two gaps at most. Alternatively, you could buy one of Richards posters, cut out the individual photos, scan them onto your PC and put them all back together in a completely different order. Just a suggestion.

People don't have to send the images if they don't want to. I must admit I am quite new to this forum but I have noticed a trend on people maybe taking things too personally. Why comment when it is only negative? Surely everyone here is for the benefit of the hobby

I don't think anyone was being negative to Damian, I am sure people are very bemused to why he might want to create something that is already clearly available and has been for some time.

I know Damian's written English is not very good, he says so himself, hence why I asked my question that perhaps he just wanted them on his PC for reference.

If there were any personal attacks to Damian or anyone else for that matter I would have removed it or removed the thread. This attitude is not tolerated here.

Peter actually rang me to check his post as he felt it he may have come across a bit strong. So logged on and I read it and deemed them valid questions and so it remained un-edited.

Perhaps you may or should look at this from Richard's point of view? A great deal of hard work went into making the original poster. I think Richard's reply was a valid response and politely put across most likely under the circumstances. As I am sure he could have easily took that as a direct and personally attack on the quality of his hard work and labour. I would think there are others who may have been less polite in their response.

As for any one taking things personally on this forum, well I myself take great personal pride and care in running this board, and will not allow anyone to victimise or be victimised by others. There are always going to be heated debates and these some times have to run a course in the name of constructive criticism and debate before eventually our moderators or I will have to step in stop the thread.

I sure if anyone here had the images they would certainly would send some to Damian. I am pretty sure though looking at the list and knowing just how long it took Richard to collate his images it might be a long time before he can collate what he needs, I am also sure every here wishes him all the very best in his efforts.

I can understand the point you're making Brendan, i was tempted to make a post saying that there was a poster available already myself, more to help Damian out by saving him some time making one if he didn't know of Richard and Rays example.
He's aware of the fact and he still wants to produce one to his own specs, thats great in my opinion and i'm looking to see if i have any images worthy of sending to him, although i do agree in part with Petes comment regarding Damien taking his own photos and designing it with the majority of his own work.

I (as i know Mark and the rest of the staff do) get several telephone calls, emails and PMs weekly asking things like "does this sound ok", "have i got my point across", "have posted my views, edit them if they seem too strong" etc etc i think this shows that the forum members are striving to make the forum an informative reference location rather than a forum just full of individual views and personal critisism.
A lot of these enquiries ask "have you seen what person A has said to person B" and when checked i find it's just a bit of friendly banter between two members that are friends or know each other from outside the forum, so no intervention is needed. This still "looks" a little concerning from the outside looking in though.

Sometimes, due to the impersonal aspect of the written word, posts are taken the wrong way, and has been said many times before, if they were to be read again when the "heat of the moment" has passed, they would seem constructive and inquisitive rather than picky and personal.

I think it's admirable that you showed concern that Damian was not getting the response he had asked for and this, in my mind, shows that people are willing to help others out in thier ventures.
