  • Is now a good time to be buying online?

............... given that fact that it is now starting to get cold. This I imagine up's the risk of mailing T's in the post.

What are your views on this? Are there breeders out there that will not post during the winter months?

I was going to make an order with an online supplier but am now not so sure I should.

Considering the temperatures whoever you purchase off I'd make sure the delivery is RMSD (guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm which has to be signed for) and a heatpack is used with good insulation.
Once the snow or frosts arrive I think you'll see a sharp decline is online sales but as its possible to obtain heatpacks that last 40hrs you'll probably find people continuing to post.

Hi Paul, funny you should bring that question up, we had two T's arrive by RMSD this morning, temperature I believe was about 1c, they were two juvs with a heat pack, and they were fine, so I think you are ok until you get into the sub zero temps, for posting.

everywhere i have purchased from has used heat packs, and RMSD is a must. as long as the temps dont drop too low, u will find that the T will just turn all its functions to a minimum to preserve its life. if you purchase and recieve a T that looks liek it has kicked the preverbial bucket, dont discard it as dead, introduce it to heat as this may bring it back to the land of the living

Check out a website called metcheck.com and click on the link for the year ahead. Its not going to be really cold until Feb/Mar.
