  • Tapinauchenius purpureus advice

Ok wanted one of these for quite awhile now, and just had my chance.

However I havent't been able to find out too much about them, I know they don't get very large, the rough lines of their native enviroment, and that they lack urticating hairs.

So anyone out there that can give me some links, or more details on this species would be great. Even better if there was ever a journal article on them and more information regarding their natural ranges.

I can mention that you will love owning one. I did research for a "Species of the Month" article on Venom List and couldn't find much information, either. I keep my girl and her spiderlings similar to Avicularia-moderate humidity (55-70%) but well-ventilated at average temperatures (75-80F, 24-27C) and had a successful mating and sac. The slings are very, very fast. I just caught 64 of them that escaped in my spider room. . My litle lady lives in a cork bark tube, comes out frequently to feed and seals it off when she's ready to molt. Di
