  • Seperation & reintroducing of communals?

Checked on the spider room this morning just before work to find two of the three P.pederseni had borken loose. Fortunatly they are all close to 2 inches and the walls/celing are white, so both were found and caught quickly.

Since they may have been for near 24 hours I wasn't 100% about putting them back together, but due to work I didn't have time to consider the options too long so took a chance and put them all back in the original jar.

Came home this evening to find still three all happy in the jar. So i'm just wondering of anyone else that has siblings seperated for any prolonged peroids, and what the longest was etc? It would appear (and I use the term very loosely) that they must retain some form of community memory?

Most of the communities I've received have arrived in seperate tubes and therefore they've been seperated for at least 24hrs and in some instances 96hrs.
Not sure where the "deadline" might lie but in their natural habitat you wouldn't expect each one to be permanently in contact with the other. From what I've heard its quite possible to introduce individuals from various sacs so really shouldnt be an issue, although obviously there may be some trial and error

as they are already established in the set up you shouldnt find a problem as they should go back to their hides that they had before. as they are already introduced, you shouldnt have a problem. i had some p.rufilata that were from the same sac but were separated shortly after hatching, they were introduced at about 1.5 inch and i ended up with one big fat greedy T, so this was obviously too long a separation lol
