  • Breeding Question?

    Hi All!

Just a quick question on breeding.
I recently tried to mate my male G,Rosea with a female of mine, after many positive attempts previously, however noticed that on this occasion he could not lift my female into position, even though she seemed to do everything she could to aid him.
Ive had him for nearly five months now, I am unsure how much longer he has been mature for before I recieved him.
He was eating on and off but hasn't for the about a month now.
He has recently produced a sperm web which is the reason I tried a breeding attempt after a short break.
My question is... does this mean he is no longer able to breed? due to age/weakness, or could it be a bad day at the office and I could attempt mating again soon?
Any advice would be great, thanks.

      Hi Matthew

I didnt catch the whole process, when I spotted him it looked as though he was in the middle of eating it? He is my first male and Ive never seen anything like this before (still a noob!) So I assumed he was loaded and ready for action!
Your right about the nothing to lose thing but I still worry about his safety, and I didn't want to stress him out if the old git is past it!
