  • Hey hey

    Hey everybody,

how are the people at the BTS forums? Louise? the two Peters? Mark? James? Matthew? And anyone else I missed (sorry!)!

Hi to all the new(er) people, I'm Rich The youngest member on this forum!

Yeah sorry about being away for so long, but I'll be doing a lot more of this; just dropping in to say hi.

India was great - but mad! As a country, for many, it is a place you'll only want to go to once (but I'm def. going again when I'm older). I went for eighteen days and fell ill for six of them, being able to do jack all. Then I came back to the UK feeling well, but fell ill once again a few days later!
The sellers in India; wow - they DESIRE a sale, even if it means selling for less than their cost price.
The beggars, well, you feel sorry for but there are too many, and cities are very mixed in terms of the richer amongst the poorest of the poor, especially Delhi.

    Tarantulas:

Yep they were ok, but my brother actually fed them whilst I was away anyway.
They are still alive and very well, but the Red Rump is mad! So is the Curlyhair but not to such an extent, rather skittish.
Ice Cube is still a little wuss and the Pyro, well s/he just sits around - the calm one.

I still say I'm NEVER getting anymore, and no one has proved me wrong!

Good to be back (sort of),

    Rich

Lol yeah, but I remember most of my holidays for a long time Probably the best places I've been to are Turkey, Inida, Florida (and other states Colarado, Arizona... probs not Utah) and Egypt.
The only time I had seen tarantulas though were in the US and Canada, and those were in shows where they allow you to handle them (I know the BTS have a no-handling policy though).

glad you had a good time despite being ill!
hopefully i'll get the travel bug again at some point and make it over there. i have heard it's an amazing experience. some things hard to deal with but alot of stuff that's great too.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

Crazy things man, the cops are crooks out there and try to get money of you, and you end up giving them over a pound just to get rid of them (which could buy a good meal out there).
But nah, it is a great place to visit, and I recommend it. Just MAKE SURE you get your injections beforehand; we didn't get ours and even though I didn't have Malaria, I still had to go through blood tests when I was ill, and it is just long.

Sorry did I miss something? Mark's daughter?

And yes lol something like that it's cuz my mum loves travelling so takes any oppurtunity she gets.
I plan to revisit Egypt, and go to some other Asian countries (this is once I've established a career ) Oh yeah and go back to Kenya, definitely!
