  • Tips on rehousing a communal setup.

Just thought i'd pick some brains on timing for rehousing my three P.pederseni. Currently they are in a jam jar, and are all roughly 2" legspan. I've not seen any indications of fighting or space issues as yet, but do feel they may need some extra space. My only issue is if this will then create an issue of territory.

Anyone able to suggest if now is a good time to rehouse them or should I wait a moult or so longer? Also if now I was going to move them to a cereal container, or would that be too big a jump and again cause territory problems?

I can only give advice on what has been successful for me here, if you set up the cereal container with a fair amount of foliage and place the open jam jar inside then they will use that for as long as they "feel comfortable" and then possibly (as mine did) set up a new home in the cereal foliage and you can remove the jar at your easiest leisure
Don't forget to learn what you can, when you can, where you can.
