  • Excessive hair flicking

My G chalcothrix over the past 2 weeks has been flicking hairs like a flea ridden dog scratching like mad! lol on a whole hes always been chilled when doing maintenance not flicked once also ive not changed anything.

Also he had webbed one end of his tank alot so those two things gave me the indication that he was probabley going into moult ...anyway checked on him lastnight and sure enough his abdomen had darkened so i was either right or it was just pure coincidence.

Has anyone observed their T's flicking all of a sudden while going into premoult?

    Cheers
    Lynn

its not unknown. when webbing a mat to shed on, sometimes a T will cover it in hairs to keep other creatures away from it when they are moulting or preparing to moult
