Internet connection

Due to a problem with my home network ( routers exploded ) I will be off line for a while, while I sort it all out.

I can still pick up emails and PM's etc.. from work but replying might be difficult.

Hopefully I will get it sorted tonight...

Good luck with it Mark. I set up a wireless repeater here last night and it took several hours, and broke my internet connection, so I know what you're going through. Got it working eventually though hence the ability to post

Yes nighmares all round! .. looks like the problem was the cable between the router and the modem. Replaced this and tweeked a few things... factory reset etc. And bingo back up and running - few!!!!

Mind you I was going to buy a 5ghz system just to cheer myself up. Now I don't have too. Maybe next time

Ahh call that a computer we all used punch cards on our first computers... and had to wait a whole week for it to poo one back out, to comfirm 2 + 2 is actually 4.

Then I went all hi tech in the 80's with an Apple with a massive 120meg hard drive and a 25 MHz processor. Some of us older frailer tarantula keepers have been using computers professionally for a long long time... and we still know bugger all BTW.

The first computer i used was in 1975 and was room sized...you were a genius if you could get it to print your name....valves and ticker tape...thems were the days
