I started programming COBOL on a teletype terminal hooked up to a mainframe with a 300 baud acoustic coupler and a phone line! It also used paper tape. Lovely keyboard though. My first job was in IT as a programmer in 6502, z80, and 8080 assembler. We had a British Micros mimi prototype we were working on writing the os and a huge Sirius with twin five and a quarter inch floppy drives LOL
