Yes it is indeed a very sad fact that Soren has broken his leg, however Plan B is well in action and we are working hard in here in Malaysia - sun, beer, curry and fun etc. on a replacement lecturer.

We have pretty much secured this and will be announcing it on Monday.

Also yes, we have re scheduled Soren for 2010. (Once you commit to a lecture you cannot escape)

Its still going to be a great weekend and I can't wait to get back to the freezing UK to finish of the last few things before the weekend.

I would like to thank those who have work on helping out on this minor set back to the weekend. Kim and myself thank all those who have generously volunteered to step up and fill the gap.

Soren, get well soon and I know this accident has caused you a lot of problems not just being unable to get to us, so take care and we look forward to 2010.

Eddy Hijmensen

Will be standing in for Soren Rafn at the BTS Lectures

Eddy has generously stepped and will be presenting a fascinating lecture based on his trip to South America.

The title is: Tarantulas of the Maya world.
It will cover Mexico (Yucatan), Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. Along with some classic species such as Brachypelma vagans and Aphonopelma seemanni there will also be some possibly new species.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who also generously put themselves forward.
