  • Need Help With My G.rosea!

My female G.rosea, who was the first tarantula I got and I've had for about 4 years is moulting, I think.
Found her about 12 today, lying on her back, she didn't look like she'd started moulting, looks normal just lying on her back. She hasn't changed, or moved much since, only waved some of her legs a couple of times.
I've never had a tarantula lie on it's back for so long and not start moulting, I think she's stuck in her old skin or something, but it's not dry in there! She's been off her food for a couple of months now, and has been losing hair on her abdomen, so I figured she was preparing for a moult and made sure to keep her water dish full.
I didn't check on my spiders until 12 today, and checked them last at 11pm last night, so I don't know how long she's been like this.
Is there anything at all I can do? I love her to bits and if there's any hope of saving her I'll do it, I just don't want to put her in the freezer or anything if I can do anything.
    Can anyone help?

    Sounds like a moult,

I would leave her alone to see what happens

You two are right, her carapace came off just a minute ago! You wouldn't believe how happy I am she's started to do something!

          That's good to know,

Remember that the spiders we keep don't read the same books or visit the same websites as we do, so don't do as we expect them to do. (which i think is an arachnological plan just to wind us up lol).
