  • Mites

Hello in the two jars im keeping chilobrachy huahini there are tiny white creatures moving around im assuming these are mites whats the best way to get rid of them? ive already increased ventilation to dry it out a bit more. Are these mites an immediate threat do i need to change the substrate?

you can try a fine paint brush dipped in vaseline to lift them off. This may be difficult of small individuals

        mites

Thanks mark ive got most of them off with the paintbrush ill try and get the rest later. ive also moved all the other spiders into new containers with new substrate apart from b smithi bohmei and vagans I think i know what caused the mites i think its because i fed my c huahini spiderlings large dead crickets and because it took all night to eat them maybe the mites had time to hatch ive never had mites before i think ive just been keeping them a little to damp thank
