  • Phasmids?

It appears that I may be inheriting some Phasmids (stick/leaf insects) for my labs at school (I am a science technician). I know this is not strictly a topic for discussion here but if anyone has any experience with these fascinating creatures, perhaps you can PM me?

Main Qs center around the basics:
Housing is being supplied but are there limitations on where I should position it?
    Feeding/hygiene/water/heating
What to do in the short and long holidays?

    All advice gratefully recieved.

hi tracy, you are not far from our club. at next months meeting (Wed 25th March) we have Ian Abercrombie coming to do a talk for us about phasmids. ian is one of the worlds leading experts on phasmids, even having some named after him. if you would be interested in joining the club, you could come along and learn everything you want about phasmids. Ian loves talking so am sure he would be more than happy to stand there all night answering any questions you may have.

This might be a good option for the interim, mixing spiders and other inverts all in one night, worth joining too from what i've heard.
