BTS merchandise

My other half saw Mark and Ray etc wearing the BTS rugby shirts at the lectures and he's dying to get his hands on one for me and for him... But on the e-store there is no merchandise???

Can I please ask if anyone couse let me know the mechandise which will be available at the BTS show? I bought a lovely blue "Poecilotheria metallica" t-shirt a couple of years ago with a great design, but now its worn out. Are the BTS planning any more along this line or some more of the metallica ones?

i aint complaining. one thing that has always bugged me is that i have never been able to get a bts t shirt in my size. this year while browsing, martin pulled out a nice fat bloke friendly t-shirt from under the table lol, cheers martin

We did those last year as yourself and others asked...

As for Merchandise on the store its just to much hassle as we have stock all over the place and being sold and therefore keeping the stock balance up to date on the store is impossible.

There are a range of new T-shirts being currently designed and produced by myself for Martin. These will as always début at the BTS expo, as for the rugger tops they are committee shirts. However I am sure if you bug Mr Nicholas he may get few done, but these wont be Black or Navy blue.. as these are Committee ones.

Why not post a few suggestions of what you all would like to see as BTS merchandise, Martin is always looking for new ideas.

I will even buy a vest top, send it to whoever gets them printed up, pay for the printing and the return post!
I just dont do t-shirts because they never fit properly!

mouse mats
stickers (round general ones / car stickers)
embroidered patches
keyrings
beanie hat... matt would wear that day and night lol!

embroidered patches - yes we did think of these but small runs are expensive but will re look at.

I posted a thread just like this not that long ago. The one thing I really wanted was a car sticker. I took Colin's advice and got a copy of the BTS logo, printed it on a good quality paper and put it in one of those cheap tax disc holders. Looks good except for the fact I didn't size it right and the printer is at my mum's house. Sixty miles away. D'oh!
I wouldn't mind a keyring too, but if these are only available at the BTS Show, then I think that is a bit of a poor thing. There are a lot of forum members and BTS members who just cannot get to the show, including the Kempton show. The merchandise not only shows a way of belonging to a society, but also advertises the society too. I've had a few people ask me about tarantulas at work because of my car sticker. Everyone had the same old view portrayed in the movies. I even had one person ask had I removed its fangs and do I have an anti-venom at home!?
So just by seeing my home made merchandise, I've managed to educate a few more people. They may not get into the hobby, that is not my intention, but they are certainly more educated about the hobby and the creatures.

All i can say to this is "excellent!!"
Educating the unaware and the ignorant so they understand and respect should be second thing on our list after maintaining correct husbandry for our arachnids
