Strange P.Cambridgei eggsack

Hi,
I paired P cambridgei last sunday the 10th, come this sunday the 17th and we have this........... I find it hard to believe that this could be fertile! Though i did flood the tank wednesday evening.......

Was she quite large before you mated her? I was told by another hobbyist that females can make the eggs before being mated, so if they have and are then mated, it is possible for them to drop a fertile egg sac very soon after being mated (basically they were just waiting for a male).

I am going by what I was told, so correct me if this is wrong
