hi everyone i need some advice again on feeding. i got an adult female smithi on the 17th of feb and she's only eaten one cricket since then. ever since i've been trying her every 3 to 4 days but end up having to take them out the next morning. the other day she was up against the side of the tank and when i put the cricket in it went under her and she didn't move i thought she must be making friends with them ha ha. is this normal behavior i know t's can go without food for a long time but for her not to move when it's under her was something i didn't think happened. i have the same problem with a mexican fire leg baby about the size of a 5 pence piece that wont even take pre killed pin heads i've had this little one since januery 24th. should i just let nature take it's course or can anyone advise or suggest any options that might be out there. by the way i think the sling's probably due for a molt not to sure though otherwise i dont have a clue as to why it wont eat. cheers everyone.

Hi Vincent, remember the old saying 'there's nowt so queer as a B. Smithi' they'll go without food for months and months. We've got a largish female, she's not eaten since June of last year, we regularly offer her food about every 3 days or so, one actually got half way up one of her legs before she flicked it off, but she still didn't give any ground. Make sure that your sling has enough moisture and right temp as it may be due for a moult.
