Photography section of the BTS Exhibition

I may try my luck this year in the Photography section of the BTS Exhibition, is there a standard size for the photograph ?

No but 1cm x 1cm images are going to over looked

Seriously there is no limit to size. I have noticed though a4 images are quite common.

i was thinking of entering this also. i have 3 really nice macro shots i did of b.smithi, trouble is i had them put onto 3 small canvas and cant find the memory card with the originals, can i enter pics on canvas?

HI everyone here are the rules for the competition. Please note we accept entries from 11 to 12.30. After that we do the judging so we cannot accept any after this time


As usual we are holding our Annual Spider / Art Competition at the

The 24th BTS Exhibition

Entries will be accepted from 11.00am until 12.30 in GYM. The following rules apply.

1. Spiders should be displayed in clear plastic or glass containers with no substrate.

2. The owners name should not be displayed on the tank. A ticket will be issued. This is your proof of ownership. Do not lose it.

3. You must be a paid up member of The British Tarantula Society. (Membership number may be required).

4. The category and species name must be clearly displayed on the container.

5. Spiders can be collected at 4.00pm. No spider can be collected before this time.

6. Prize giving is to be held at 3.00pm in the Main Hall.

7. The Judges decision is final.

The following categories are open to entrants this year.

1. Best Brachypelma species
2. Best New World Terrestrial
3. Best New World Arboreal
4. Best African
5. Best Asian Arboreal
6. Best Asian Terrestrial
7. Best Scorpion
8. Best In Show
9. Artwork
   
10. Children’s Artwork
11. Photography: Colour, Black and White...anything really
    
12. Committee

In recent years we have had some excellent display spiders but the Artwork and Photography as been under supported. Please try to enter something in these categories

its true, i do have some sexy spiders lol. trouble is only one is in prime condition, just moulted. all the others are dull and wont be moulted and ready in time
