    hi ,
could anyone suggest any books on baboon spiders after something that is a general book on them and one that is more in depth covering natural locations and temp , humidity variations and breeding did manage to get one years ago from the library but as it was from the national library i couldn't take it home and i cant remember the name of it
    or what do you suggest?

hi tim, rumour would suggest that andrew smith has published a book on baboon spiders before but it is apparently incredibly hard and expensive to get hold of, maybe by contacting him you might be able to get a copy. other than that iam not aware of any books focusing specifically on baboon spiders. hope this helps

Me too. I had two almost new copies of Tarantulas of the U.S.A and Mexico too, and sold one to a mate for what I bought it for (which was only a few quid), cos that's the kind of guy I am

The binding on my 'Baboon Spiders' is a bit tatty though, but it's all good stuff

Don't remember them being too expensive when I bought them either Phil, 15 years ago or so I think... £20 or £30 if I remember rightly..

It's pretty in depth stuff though, fascinating.

I got all of mine second hand. Bought one of the 'Tarantulas of the USA' ones from the states (fittingly ). In the meantime, my Mrs. had spotted one over here and bought it for me, so I ended up with two

Just had a look at my Baboon Spiders, and it's only the cover that's started to go a bit dodgy at a few of the wire comb holes by the looks of it. Wonder if I could get it rebound somewhere?
