Does anyone else look after there crickets as good as my mrs? i think she likes them more then the spider!!!! they get treated like 5 star hotel! first she moves them to bigger container then give them fresh fruit, veg and water everyday. i dont mind really cause i think that eating all that stuff and filling up on vitamins is only going to benifit the spider too when it eats them! is everyone else this crazy??????

yeah I think we can safely say we do too. Pretty much with everything we culture. (crickets (black and silent brown), mealworms, wax worms, woodlice and roaches)
We have quite a few small juvi's and slings so we breed our own livestock, saves quite a bit of cash compared to buying them.
now we have got the care cracked we rarely get any deads on our bulk orders of crickets. A bulk order lasts us a month and the crickets are still as healthy as they day we received them.
And the meal worms, roaches and woodlice are like our veg disposal unit!
That little bit of extra care does wonders for your wallet. And provides optimal food for your collection

we culture them... free food at the end of the day.
stick them in a plastic tub, no lid needed - although they have wings, if they have lots of food they wont bother.
Fill the bottom of the tub with weetabix and some porridge oats, fish flake, T-rex cricket food is also a favourite. and potato for moisture.
then simply get an old piece of towel (face cloth) fold it in half and they will hide in it and lay their eggs. then about 3 weeks later you should spot some baby meal worms - they will appear like tiny white lines.
we pretty much leave them to their own devices and harvest them once a week for the water dragons. but they eat all the left over fresh vegetables, so it's like having our own waste disposal unit. And if you end up with too many mealies... sling some of them outside for the birds they go absolutely nuts for them.
I used to do this when I lived in hull, and I had a cheeky little robin who used to watch me through the window until I chucked some out!

to feed from the hand if your patient. Although the Scottish Robins seem a bit
more cautious than Kentish ones.....
