Hey, I just have a question on breeding T's. I dont know if anyone seen the t program on the kennal club-and how it is the fault of theirs and certain pedigree dog breeder that some breeds are in the terrieble condition.
One of the main issues that came up was the breeding of mothers and sons/ brothers and sisters etc. All this same genetic make-up bringing inherint problems in breeds.
Could the same thing happen in tarantua species, as im sure its not un common for breeders to continually breed from eg. brothers and sisters over many years without introducing a tarantula with a completly different make up.
This might be why some species defining characteristics are not as strong as they once where-aggression etc.
Not sure if it works the same why for tarantulas or not, just thought it might.

Make yourself a cup of your favourite beverage, sit back, and do a forum search on 'inbreeding'

    Plenty of reading material there.

Then when you've read that...try "Hybrid" as a search term and have another cup or two
