I think our L Para has died and I'm really at a loss to work out why.
He moulted (successfully?) about a month ago and after about 2 weeks he started eating again. He became a little bit active but spent most of the time in one of his 2 hide-outs. He was fed a large cricket on Saturday which he demolished in quick time and has been sitting under his cork bark since then. I've just checked on him and I'm pretty sure he hasn't changed position since Monday. I've tried to rouse him by blowing on him and tapping the cork - anything short of poking him with a stick - but there is no movement at all. I'm pretty sure we've lost him.
Nothing has changed in his tank. The temp and humidity are fine and he has a full bowl of water. I'm at a loss to think what could have happened.
Is it common for T's to go through a moult and then die of the exertion some time afterwards??
This is our first and only T so I'm quite upset that we could have done something wrong.
