  • ooh that was ...fun

just rehoused my P.murinus rcf the things a nutter !! very pretty but .. for a spider 6cm long it had an attitude of something 100 times bigger soon as the lid was off it was straight on its back daring me to try it
all i can say is thank god for walk in showers, big fangs for something that small and strong to , now in a 9 L x 15 h X 9w hope i wont have to do it again for a while as its now got a good 6-7 inches of substrate to hide in, the P. chordatus was very well behaved and civilised and took it all in her stride

Anyone know why mine is soooo docile? i have never seen my p.murinus get stressed over anything... even when a cricket was right under its nose stuck in its web kicking and punching to get out!! Even if i open the lid and tap one of her legs , she just moves the leg out of the way and sits there! lol i have seen it run real fast once when i misted the tub once, but that was it!!

I will be rehousing her soon too, and im tempted to just pick her up with my hands like i would with a chile rose!!

I have heard that once a p.murinus is out of there enclosure, they become quite docile ? if thats the case, then mine in theory should be like a best friend once out of his box!! lol.

-i can see it backfiring tho.. lol

I wouldn't risk it. My cobalt blue seems pretty calm and docile a lot of the time but bursts into action so unpredicatbly. No way would I put my hand anywhere near it.

didn't help that it had completely webbed up its temporary home ,was fairly docile in there ,you'll be amazed at what a small gap they can get through , glad i decided to swap him/her over in the shower at least i could close the doors and let it calm down if needed ,cant have been to upset as its eaten tonight and now exploring after digging a huge tunnel overnight
