Those of you who don't own one of these yet, i highly recommend this species, i've just bought a sling from the spider shop and it's increddibly beautiful. Just thought i would say

I'm eyeing up these as well. I was going to order a couple this week, but plumped for a couple of ghost mantids instead.

If they are still listed on pay-day, I'll get some!

            Care

The only thing i've managed to find out really is that they are terrestrial, i'll be doing some more research on the species later on tonight though so i'll post the info when and if i find out. I'll try and get a pic also.

              Care sheet

              Here goes :

Home Country: Bolivia, Ecuador, Columbia, Peru
              Size: Body-length max. 7cm
Temperament: Defensive. Flees only, when strongly disturbed.
Type: Terrestrial, needs a hide away. Defences with urticating hair and poisoned bites.
              Humidity: 70%-85%, water dish necessary.
Temperature: 23°C - 27°C during day, 3°C less in the night. Spider becomes nervous when temperature is too high
              Enclosure: 40(w) x 40(d) x 30(h) cm or larger. A hideaway is already prepared.
General information: The spider is most of the time visible. It jumps sometimes when it catches prey. Only spiderlings have an orange abdomen with a black pattern looking like a conifer. Adult male are red and brown coloured, and have a dark brown abdomen. The whole body of females is dark brown.
