  • Substrate 4 a 80mm CurlyHair?

Im recieving a 80mm CurlyHair mid-way next week.

Whats the recommended substrate including depth, for this species?

    Thanks.

A 5 cm layer of substrate would be fine. You could use coir, peat or even a mix of these with 50% added vermiculite. It's unlikely that your Brachypelma will burrow, but a slab of cork-bark on the surface with an excavation under it would be great.

Remember to nuke any substrates in a microwave for 10 minutes (to steam-kill any mite eggs). Obviously let it cool before you use it
