  • Is it normal?

My B.emilia sling moulted about 2 months agoand since then has refused to eat. I offer circkets every few days to no avail. Its also a worry since as at her size just under an inch i cannot give a water bowl. I am however spraying the substrate frequently in a hope of keeping her hydrated. There has been a change in temperature as the weather is heating up now its summer and im also keeping her in my wardrobe. I know it sounds cruel but i did my research and it is a good warm dark home. anyone know if this type of fasting after moult is common because i am led to believe it is pre moult fasting and expected my baby to be eating afterwards.

    Hi Nick

Dont worry, it is not uncommon for spiderlings go 2 or 3 months without food especially with some of the longer lived Brachys, give her some water in a plasic milk bottle lid it wont be deep enough for the T or crickets to drown in.
