  • Hello, Im new and in need of advise.

I am planning on purchasing a tarantula, tank plus all the accessories needed, but im unsure as which strain and age to go for as I dont have any tarantula experience!! I want a tarantula that is hardy and relatively straight forward to take care of. Does anyone know a good tarantula breeder/seller in the Leeds, Yorkshire area? Thanks in advance. Ben

Hi if it is your 1st T then I would suggest a G rosea (rosehair) or anyting from the Brachypelma family all these are hardy and easy to keep and are quite docile. Also any Aviculara are good too but are a little harder to look after.

if you want to have a look at some info ont hese you can read about them on my web site andy T's that are not sutible for beginners are all stated in the info on them in the care sheets. http://home.freeuk.com/xclent/caresheetsindex.htm

as for dealers all online dealers no matter where they are in the country will deliver any Tarantulas directly to your door.

Here are a few good online uk dealers that I will highly recomend and do alot of deals with myself.

the best one imo is http://entomology.mysite.wanadoo-mem....uk/index.html

and here are a few more

This last one has alot of spiders on offer but I will warn you these ones do over chard on there prices.

oh and you can also check out Guy Tansleys site. he has a could of nic ebeginner spiders for sale and charged a resonable price. I do have spiders for sale myself but mine are not beginner T's sorry.

the Brachypelma vagans, Cyclosternum fasciatum and Nhandu coloratovillosus are good beginner spiders. Nhandu coloratovillosus grow relativly big.

    Hope all this helps
