Just thought I would put up a couple of pics, of two of my Blondi babies, they had their 8th moult yesterday. Since their 3rd instar moult they have both moulted on the same day, and yesterday they were within 2 hours of each other. So in a few days they'll be ready to go into their new tanks.

hi linda, 2 very good looking T. Blondi's u have there. ive always had a weak spot for the darker colour variants. how big are they now? 8th molt from 3rd instar must be about 5-6 inches??
i had my first when i lived in germany, she died due to a parasite, i bought her as captive bread but i can only assume with the type of parasite larvea that chewed its way out she could only have been wild caught. she was freshly molted when i got her and only about 8" legspan.
i do love theraphosa blondi but am finding it very dificult to find healthy captive bred specemines. all i see is wild caught and i dont agree with buying them except to give them as close to there natural habitat as possible.
do you breed your blondi's?

Hi Wayne, wild caught Blondi can be a problem, all of our Theraphosa's are captive bred, apart from one Burgundy, that was wild caught from the US, not too easy to get hold over here, although this one is nice and healthy and put plenty of weight on since we've had her.
The two slings were from Germany, one's a little bigger than the other, about 7", and they are the nice dark colourform, in fact, Thereaphosa's now make up the larger part of our collection, we love them.
