    Dear all

Invicta Arachnid Clubs next meeting is Wednesday 30th September
    8-10.30pm

The Club meets at Bobbing village hall, Sheppey way, Sittingbourne, Kent ME9 8PL ( Just off Jcn 5 of the M2 ).

Again i extend an invitation to all to come down to see us.
It was a pleasure to meet Peter Lacy who came to our last meeting and i hope he is the first of many from the forum who come to see us.

We have Martin Nicholas doing a talk for us this month.
Next month we have Ray Hale.

There will be two raffles normal and Australian, free tea and coffee, cheap soft drinks & you can get your T skins sexed under the Microscope on the night.

Is it too far to come?

Manchester Invertabrate & Spider Club (MISC) meets on Saturday 26th September. (Contact Matt Haslam)

East Midlands Arachnid Club (EMAC) Milton Keynes meets on Sunday 27th September (contact Mary Walters )

If you are still too far from all three clubs, why not start your own club? i can give you advice.

Clubs are a good way to meet other enthusiasts, swop spiderlings and make new friends. They are also the best way to introduce Newbies to the hobby.

    Look forward to meeting you

    Chris

I had an excellent night at the Invicta club and can thoroughly recommend a visit. If possible I'll come along to the next one and bring along James Box too.

The club is a very friendly and inviting group, light hearted fun but with plenty of interest, its no wonder its survived so many years.

If you live in Kent you really should make the effort and check it out, if you live in neighbouring counties the journey is rewarded as soon as you arrive.

I was lucky enough to win 2 bottles of wine and some stick insects on my last visit. wooo hoooo!

I would like to thank Martin Nicholas for an excellent talk last Wednesday, not only did we get an interesting talk on the uses of Tarantula venoms he also gave us a powerpoint presentation on his visit to Viet nam 6 weeks ago where he found what is believed to be a completely new species of Arboreal Tarantula. We were priviliged to be the first people to see images of this stunning spider which is a deep brown colour and has an 6-8 inch legspan.

Again many thanks Martin it was an excellent evening and a good one for the new members who came.

        Chris.
