  • Where's she gone??

Hi all, I'm a newbie whose just started with a B. albopilosum juvenile (about 2ins legspan). I got her just under a month ago and since then have had many successful feeds and the pleasure of watching her shovel substrate around her enclosure. However about a week ago she sealed off all the entrances to her burrow and I haven't seen her since. I wondered if maybe she's molting and wanted to know if so how long it's going to take? I have been so pleased with her since she's arrived and I'm terrified she might have died!

    Many thanks
    Rebecca

Sounds like a moult Rebecca nothing to worry about she will come out when shes ready
Just dont disturb her and leave off feeding her for a week once shes moulted to give her time to harden up

Hi Rebecca, I'm sure Lynn & Alistair will join me in welcoming you to the forum, and as you can see there's already lots of help on hand. Just make sure your T has a water dish available at all times, and I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thanks for the welcome, it's great to know you can speak to people with experience when you get stuck!

And great advice by the way, a week later and I found this left neatly outside the burrow for me:

Im taking it into my labs at uni to rehydrate it and look at it under a scope
