feeding crickets

i duno about you but how do you all feed your crickets with out letting them escape, i buy crickets and they cum in a tub with the egg box in them but u cant get ur hand in to grab the crickets with out one escaping.

how does every one else get over this problem????

I can leave the top off for a few mins and not one will try and escape (maybe a sign of happy crickets lol) i feed mine on scrap fruit n veg and soak a cotton wool ball in water so they can drink,with my large crix tho i transfer em into a small pet pal thingy with the egg carton and twigs so they got summut to do!!!

if you mean how do you feed the spider without the crickets escaping you can try catching them by the legs with tweezers with only one corner of the pot open.

Try putting your crickets in a larger tub and feed them. This way they will last longer and be easier to catch. I feed them bran flakes or koi pellets and I keep them dry. I do not use fruit as this goes mouldy very quickly.

Another method is to put the tub in the fridge for ten minutes. This will make the crickets stop and then you can drop them in at leisure before they wake up. Dont worry about killing them as they are tough and can withstand low temperatures for a long time. I have had them arrive in the post all of them totally inactive and when they warm up they spring back into action.

The way i feed my Ts is to open the cricket tub corner and just grab the 1st one who comes close...then its off with the wing cases as i hate the sound they make and off to certain death they go!!....and any that survive the week in the tub they come in get put in the garden for the birds...
