Aphonopelma sp. have been almost an accidental acquisition for me. I now have at least 6 species all from extras thrown in on trades or from buying entire collections. The problem is I'm not sure what I have. A few were being tossed around as either Aphonopelma sp. "Guatemala" or Acanthoscurria borealis. I'm still not sure what they are. Others are locality specific tarantulas from various states. My newest additions contained anotehr oddball. This girl is pink. Very pink. More pink than any Eupalaestrus campestratus that I've owned. Have any others come across a pink A. seemanni? Is this A. seemanni? I don't have access to the species description paper for A. seemanni, so I have only the comparisons with my other spiders to base my judgement. Here is a picture of the girl, but the flash has muted her colors a bit. I have a male in the cage next to her that is ready to go, but I don't want to breed her to him if there is a chance she is not what she is though to be.
