  • Humidity & Moulting

Our L Para moulted last April after a 6 month gap and since October we've had a few false pre-moults where it's stopped eating and we've expected it to moult and yet after a month, still no sign. We try it with food and it starts feeding it again. We changed the tank in September to an acrylic one from House of Spiders. The tank is great but we seem to have a problem keeping the humidity up. It's pretty much always around 55-60% where our old Exoterra was more like 70%. The water dish is always kept full and I spray it once or twice a week. The humidity goes up as soon as I spray and then after an hour it goes back to the same level. Temp isn't too bad, usually between 20 & 25oC.

Would the lack of humidity prevent it moulting? or is our T just playing silly buggers??
