  • travelling with spiders abroad

    Hi all!
I have question about travelling with spiders from abroad. One of my friends wants to travel from Poland to UK with tarantulas and I am wondering what he may expect if he will be searched by whoever is doing it, in Germany or France, I know that there is no borders, but asking just in case. And how the same thing is working if he decide to fly here.We are talking about 30 slings of Chropatopelma. Thanks for advise.

Transport between EU countries is open. You would not need CITES documentation for Chromatopelma sp., but if you are flying then check with the airline, as they each have their own regulations on top of the IATA freight guidelines and may not even accept them in the first place, or they may need to be shipped as freight
