    hello evryone,
about a month ago, i recived a Chilobrachys species that was labled Chilobrachys sp. "guangxing". however, i belive it is a C. huahini. just wondering if anyone could confirm. also, i recieved an order for a P. lugardi today and found another T in my box! i belive it is a rosehair, but is more aggressive than the average G. rosea. it is also darker than one. if anyone has any insight on this it would be much appreciated. here are some photos. not the greatest quality, but it is a little more than just a discription.
here is what i belive to be a G. rosea

    and the C. huahini

you could be right about the G. rosea...they are variable in their temperaments, and though most appear calm and docile, there are more defensive individuals.

have you considered the possibility that your Chilobrachys might be andersoni? it's hard to go by anything but colour (which can be deceptive) from those pics, i'm afraid...but my andersoni's were all fairly orange like that.
there are a few ways to tell, but my memory is failing me.
I'd suggest having a search on the http://www.the-t-store.co.uk/forum/index.php (the link is also on the BTS forum mainpage). Soren Rafn has provided some good info on how to tell various Chilobrachys species apart.

thank you james. i figured that it was a G.rosea, and i will have to check out the information provided on that site. i am sure i have the right genus, just not sure of the species. this G. rosea is more entertaining than my other one, and was free, so no complaints there.

        no probs!
free spiders are always good, and i love rosea
actually, i might be able to link to a thread that contains the link to the thread with the info
if you're not already confused: http://www.the-t-store.co.uk/forum/i...opic=14455&hl=

that's my own thread with my own spider (who incidentally now has a sac), i was trying to do the same thing you are, get an ID...

hope that helps, maybe the pics of mine might assist as well.
