  • Very unhungry A. Seemanni

Hey guys, getting a bit worried about Nancy, She used to eat around 2-4 5th locusts a month but is now eating one every 2-3 months if not longer!

She has had 2 moults in the year I have had her and she is about average adult size so I'm not expecting any more soon (The last was around seven months ago). I'm having a bit of trouble keeping humidity steady and was wondering if this eating behaviour is normal, or whether its because she is stressed by the humidity.

I don't keep A. seemani, but I do keep A. iodius, A. sp. "Flagstaff orange" and A. crinirufum. The crinirufum is an extremely fussy eater. Sometimes she will eat, sometimes she won't. Completely unpredictable, although perfectly healthy. The others seem to behave as expected.

The main thing is that as long as your spider has a rounded abdomen, which doesn't appear shrunken, then I suppose she will eat what she wants to eat and will decide when she wants to eat it. If it were me, I wouldn't worry too much about it
