  • H.mac enclosure

I've been discussing my h.macs enclosure with people on another T forum and they seem to think I need better ventilation in my sling enclosures. Was just wondering what you guys think? I have around 5-6 holes in the top and 3 around the sides. Been told I need 15-20 more?!

would be much better if you drill a few more on the sides

i dont know what the recamended amount of ventilation is, but i would rather have more then less. i got mold in one of my enclosures and found it hard to get rid of. it was in my H. lividum, so that might have somthing to do with its difficulty. she will take any oppertunity to nip at me. i have aprox. 20-30 holes in my H. maculatas sling pot. she is doing great and i have no problems with the humidity.

With arboreals, more is always better, even if they aren't as delicate as avics.
The tubs i keep my juvis in are just undetr a foot hoigh, with a cork tube and some leaves in. I have a square section of holes on both sides at the top, and 2 lines nearer the bottom. I'll post some pictures later if you like
