  • Web worries....

Hi all, Boris (A.Versicolor) has built a lovely tubular web after being cleaned out. He has left two openings at either end from which he grabs his dinner or goes walkabout. Recently he has closed the ends of his tube.
So, do I stop feeding him (his last cricket wandered around for 24hrs. without being eaten) or carry on offering food to tempt him to break out of his web? Is he preparing to moult perhaps? Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers, Mike.

I would suggest he is approaching a moult so best let him be. Hold of on the food for while. Mind you as he is sealed in they should not be able to pose a threat to him.

Just mist the silk now and then or water how you normally go about it.

    Regards
    Mark

Mark, thanks for your quick reply, I`ll put the crickets on hold for a while and see what happens!

Just an update on Boris, he broke out of his tunnel a couple of days ago after I moved his tank a little closer to the heat mat on the wall behind his tank. He is noshing on a cricket as I type, so no worries!
