  • Trap door spider what species

    Sorry but i dont have a pic of her but can any 1 round it down for me ?

    She is a very shinny black on the legs and carapice
    and her abdomen is black with a pinkish tint

    it was sold as a Black trapdoor
    but i have no clue on species

    please can some one help

      The thing is, there's a whole load of "trapdoors" that would fit the description you gave Jimmy, even with a picture (or several showing dorsal, ventral views etc) it would be hard to key to a species.
      I have a Gorgyrella sp. (Tanzanian) here that would fit with the general charactoristics you gave.
      If you could get some photos of the spider then it's possible someone who is knowledgeable about them could key it to a genus for you.
      Don't forget to learn what you can, when you can, where you can.
