    hello,
it has been a while since my last post (virus on the computer). to my delight, i found his thread to welcome me back. although i have never kept T. blondi (this will be false information if read after saturday ), i have kept many of the other "giants" mentioned in this thread. the L. parahybana has to be my favorite. i would not suggest the C. crawshayi yet, as some (not all) can be a lttle tempermental. the A. geniculata is also another wonderful suggestion. a lovely t. one i have not heard mentioned yet is G. areostratia. another beautiful spid that grows to a good size, but not difficult in any way (in my experiances). i have seen a few as first ts. hope this helps Paolo.

I always wonder when one has enough experience. I only started keeping T's 2 years ago and did get a hysterocrates gigas sling few months ago. Am I experienced enough? Who knows. I think as long as you get some information and are careful, there is no problem in getting bigger or more defensive species. Otherwise how can we progress individually in our hobby?

my second t was an H. lividum, after only six weeks of keeping my Avic avic. i seem to have more problems with the rose hairs and other less defensive species.
