  • The worlds oldest male spider

Has anyone ever had a male tarantula exceed 15 years old? I brought a spiderling from Dr Bustard on the 13th of july 1995 which was later identified as a Peruvian mettalic blue Hommoea sp and is still alive as an adult male, has anyone ever had an older male spider? I would be very interested to hear if so

    cheers

    but when did it mature?
I once had a large B, smithi for at least 7 years, it look fully grown when I had it as a wild import back in the early 80's, it matured into a male with a leg span of over 8 inches.

He must have been at least 12 when he matured...

Had a chile rose mature male for 2 years...

    cheers
