    Hi Iain,

I bought a Brazillian Salmon Pink Birdeater spiderling last week to add to my collection. The trouble I have is I think all my tarantulas are awesome! My wonderful wife keeps me on my toes by often surprising me when I come home with another spiderling or 5 that she has taken a shine to in one of our local shops.

The sheer size that the Salmon Pink grows to and the fact that they are normally active in their enclosures and not hiding away makes them a great display tarantula in a collection.

Whatever yours turns out to be like I am sure you will get great enjoyment out of it.

    Best Regards

    Richard

Great Ts, fast growers, hungry eaters, can flick hair and will coat the substrate in hairs as they get older, will prob hide at first but become great display species, can grow to 10", have upto 2,000 slings per mating, change from charcoal black to dark brown prior to moulting, possess large fangs, hardy and don't require any special treatment.
Substrate, hide and water bowl and you're off.
      Enjoy

After seeing that line my mind filled in a few blanks as follows

I think in my house it would be put in Substrate, (place in 10" legspan tarantula with 1" fangs), hide (well at least I would try to find somewhere to hide it) and water bowl (and when the wife finds out she will pack my bags) and you're off

Funny the tricks your mind plays when you see the word hide lol

I picked the spiderling up early on Friday morning and now it's all settled in her/his new home
Lat night a gave her/him a tiny waxworm and I just checked this morning and it's gone , so it's eating well already !

Also for a spider that gets to a good size this little one is very quick.
I do hope I havnt put you off lol.

            Chris.

We have one of these beauties and he is my favouite. for a T someone once told me was agrssive he is one of my friendliest and for a T I was also told had quite irritating hairs, they dont bother me lol. I am amazed by how quickly they grow. Nachos molted recently and wow, quite a size difference. Very good eater and Only occasionally goes ihn his hide. x
