  • Exo Terra 'Nano' new terrarium

Has anyone had a chance to see one of the new 'Nanos' up close and personal yet?

I understand the new size to be 8"x8"x12" high - quite a useful size if it's correct??
    take nothing but pictures!

They talked about it, but didn't demonstrate it really eh?
I think it would be nice to see doors opening, how much gap there is in certain areas etc etc... that is ..if it 's going to be adopted by a spider.

        Looks nice though

All you really need to know, is that it's small. Looks like a good set up for a versicolor, or another small arboreal, more than anything else. Maybe they'll bring out a 12" x 8" x 8" terrestrial too.

I wish they could do a terrarium for larger terrestial tarantulas like Pamphobeteus spp. Theraphosa spp. Lasiodora spp. to name a few. 45-50x30x30 or 45-50x40x30 would be greate.

I think the closest size to that they currently make would be the 60 x 45 x 45 cm. Perhaps a poll could be run on the forum as to what we all consider to be the best range of sizes required for tarantula keeping and then ask the society to pass this information to Exo Terra on behalf of the members?

When you go on the Exo-terra website they no longer show the tall arboreal 60x45x45 as an available product - so I assume they no longer make this size?
There are 3 kinds of Tarantula keeper. Those that can count and those that can't.

I could pass this information on as we have exo terra/ hagen reps in all the time at work.

That would be great, perhaps they would know when the Nano will be freely available? I'm in Houten in December so hopefully I'll be able to bring a couple back??
