Sounds like a freshly-licked stamp that got rubbed-off in the post to me

Hi,

we dont actually put stamps on Eleanor we pay the Post Office to Frank them. I cant really lick 1000 stamps although some would say Rays mouth is big enough.

Sorry if it took so long. we are aiming to get the new journal out BEFORE the show.
The way it works is Richard (bless him) finishes the journal and sends it of to the printers Guy ( smashing lad) and then he sends it to me. We then burn the midnight oil and label all the envelopes, print off the renewals, insert the journals and cart it off the the Post Office. Who sit on it until they can be bothered to send it. So if its late it aint me.

Ah well, I never thought too highly of the post office anyway... it arrived with no postage, and a huge message stamped on it 'INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE' - somewhat ironic when it was the post office itself which made the mistake? My apologies for any suspicions about the mailing capabilities of the BTS committee!
